Pikas look like rodents, but their cousin is a rabbit.
Living near rocks to hide from eagles is their very clever habit.
In warm weather they gather plants and store them underground.
Then when winter comes their food supply can easily be found.
Their voice is somewhere between a whistle and a scream.
It is so loud you might think there's a monster on the scene.
When fellow pikas hear these sounds they know trouble is on the way,
When other animals hear these screams, they quickly run away.
